Reading and Writing
Our Reading and Writing Intervention services offer structured, multisensory instruction grounded in the Orton-Gillingham approach and other evidence-based practices. We provide explicit, sequential teaching that is carefully tailored to your child’s specific learning profile and academic goals.
This approach is especially effective for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, or other language-based learning challenges, helping them build strong foundational literacy skills with clarity and confidence.
We focus on key areas of literacy development:
Reading Skills
Decoding: Strengthening phonemic awareness and sound-symbol relationships
Fluency: Improving reading accuracy, speed, and expression
Comprehension: Building strategies to understand and analyze texts
Vocabulary: Expanding word knowledge and language development
Writing Skills
Spelling and Mechanics: Reinforcing phonics, spelling patterns, and conventions
Sentence and Paragraph Structure: Teaching how to organize and express ideas clearly
Written Expression: Supporting idea generation, planning, and editing
Each session is individualized to meet your child exactly where they are, helping them grow into confident, capable readers and writers through a supportive and engaging learning process.

Our Math Intervention services provide conceptual and practical instruction tailored for students with math learning differences, including dyscalculia. We use research-based strategies and multisensory tools to help students build a solid understanding of mathematical concepts, develop number sense, and gain confidence in their abilities.
Each session is individualized to meet your child's specific needs and learning style, focusing on:
Strengthening foundational skills in number sense, operations, and problem-solving
Using visual, tactile, and movement-based methods to deepen understanding
Addressing math anxiety and building self-esteem through supportive instruction
Teaching strategies that promote flexible thinking and real-world application
By combining evidence-based methods with compassionate, personalized support, we help students overcome barriers to learning and build lasting confidence in math.
Executive Function
At Thrive Learning and Literacy, our Executive Function Coaching is designed to support students in building the essential skills they need to succeed—both in and out of the classroom. Executive function refers to the brain’s ability to plan, organize, manage time, initiate tasks, sustain attention, regulate emotions, and monitor progress. These skills are critical for academic performance, independent learning, and daily life.
We work one-on-one with students to identify specific areas of challenge and create personalized strategies that match their unique learning style and needs. Our coaching empowers students to:
Improve organization and planning
Strengthen time management and study skills
Break down assignments into manageable steps
Build self-monitoring and goal-setting habits
Develop flexible thinking and problem-solving strategies
Increase focus, motivation, and task completion
Whether your child struggles with completing homework, managing long-term projects, or simply staying on track, our goal is to foster independence, confidence, and lifelong skills that support academic and personal growth.
